Custom builds and one-offs
Building entirely by hand means when an idea takes my fancy, I can start work without having to make up moulds and jigs, and before I can talk myself out of some of my more whimsical ideas.
I spend a lot of time looking over vintage instrument catalogues and repair blogs - when I see something unusual that I like, it often becomes a Wunderkammer project.
